Needless to say, a Blu-ray Disc player capable of this level of video and audio performance requires the best possible construction. Therefore, the drive mechanism, chassis and all other major parts were designed in-house and manufactured at our factories in Japan. The chassis has a dual-layer construction consisting of a 1 mm-thick base reinforced with a 1.6 mm-thick sheet, making the player sturdy and highly resistant to vibration. Inside, the various circuits and wiring are arranged to optimize the signal flow and maximize the removal of heat to keep the player cool. We use a thick, high-grade power cable, and the output terminals are gold plated. Furthermore, to ensure that the audio data is delivered with the purest quality, the player uses high performance Burr-Brown D/A converters for all channels, as well as other top quality components.

The Blu-ray Disc drive is completely designed and manufactured in Japan by Pioneer, drawing on its long experience and technological expertise as an optical disc developer. This ensures the total reliability and durability of each product.

All the audio output channels employ high performance D/A converters made by Burr-Brown, known for its outstanding products. These DACs have excellent S/N ratio and wide dynamic range, providing accurate, realistic and expansive sound.

Dual-layered chassis dual layer
The BDP-LX70A uses a dual-layer chassis consisting of a 1 mm-thick base reinforced with a 1.6 mm-thick panel. This added weight and stability eliminates vibrations. The result is better signal readout accuracy and superior video and audio quality.
   

In order to ensure that the reproduced sound is as close as possible to the original, the player has extremely high grade terminals that prevent signal degradation. This is one more example of Pioneer's attention to detail in providing the best possible sound experience for audiophiles.
