The Blu-ray Disc is the same physical size as a DVD, but it can hold five times as much audio and video data. Specifically, a dual-layer Blu-ray Disc has a 50 GB capacity, whereas a dual-layer DVD only has an 8.5 GB capacity. This allows a Blu-ray Disc to hold a complete movie in the highest possible resolution of 1920 x 1080p plus uncompressed surround  sound, for unbelievable picture and sound quality. You can enjoy two hours of high-definition video or 11 hours of standard-definition video from a single Blu-ray Disc combined with up to 7.1 channels of audio that is compatible with most surround-sound formats. In addition, you get a user-friendly interface that provides easy menu navigation, various bonus features and intranet/Internet connectivity.
